Papas Mexican Grill

Good service and great true Mexican food, not the bland Mexican food of other places that taste the same no matter where you go in America. Papa's opened a few years ago and has been a solid restaurant fixture in Lake Stevens ever since. Walking in transports you to a nice rustic feeling with the beautiful bar and wood accents throughout the restaurant. You're immediately greeted by a whiteboard written with the day's specials quickly followed by a smiling server who will escorted you to a table or booth. Or you can mosey up to a tall seat at the beautifully crafted wood bar with an array of taps and bottles of liquor on the wall behind it. The salsa bar was good. Ordered the chicken and steak street tacos. Didn't like the street tacos...meat was waaay to dry. Get better street tacos from the local street truck and cheaper! You get chips and a bean dip (very watery). I ordered the cheese dip and that was good. The best part of the order was the cheese dip with the salsa bar! Their guacamole was fresh and very flavorful! Had chunks of vegetables in it and a very nice texture! The service was great...fast and friendly. I will more then likely go back and try a different dish...cross my fingers that it will be better then the street tacos!

We love this place and can't wait to come back. We just popped in for lunch on a road trip and were so happy with the service, with the varieties of fresh salsas and the warm tortilla chips, and with our meals. The waiter was so kind and provided the perfect level of attention. Even the ice water was better than anywhere else. I had steak fajitas, my partner had carnitas fajitas, and our son had a shredded beef quesadilla. I tried the carnitas and the pork was almost better than my steak. The lunch prices are great 👍

We just discovered Papas does breakfast! So excited. We had mimosas and breakfast. Their lunch is pretty good and so we tried their breakfast and we left very happy customers. They have a great self service salsa bar that has 5 different salsas in it. Their breakfast menu is pretty big and has a great variety of items. We plan on coming back with more friends next time. We found our new half-way point for our ladies network group. Thank you papas for the great experience today.

Great spot for good Mexican food. The salsa bar is amazing, it's nice to mix and match with the meal you're eating.
