Panera Bread

Very disappointing. The bagels are extremely hard..and I would hardly call that sliced in half. This isn't the first time this has happened. Why aren't the orders being checked for quality and accuracy?!

I prefer the Council Tree Branch because of its location next to the library. But this is also an excellent place. The location is much more Central right on College and Horsetooth. I've come here for many years because of the sip club drink membership. For $15 a month unlimited coffee tea and cold drinks. When you sign up on their website usually the first three months are only $5. It's a great deal. I don't like the flavor of the coffee particularly but with unlimited refills and self-service you can't beat that. Nice people come here. There are many church and Bible study groups that meet here. Salad was very fresh and tasty! Greens were crisp, balsamic coating was perfect under the green goddess. They never have trouble customizing, and always plate with a smile. Great quantity, I always feel like I get more when I dine in. Dining in is comfortable, clean, and inviting with good music.

We ordered rapid pick up. When we arrived there was one person in the kitchen filling orders, 8 people waiting for orders and our order had not been started. 10 minutes later two more people joined the kitchen staff. 10 more minutes I heard the manager correcting a young man who was making sandwiches. 5 more minutes i saw that our order was finally being filled. As I was watching the young lady fill the bag with our order I heard the manager testing the staff, who was filling orders, asking them how many ounces of meat or other ingredients should be in the different menu items. I interrupted the young lady to ask if our large order could be put in a bag with handles at which point she stopped answering the manager and gave us our order. Panera claims to use fresh, clean food, but my experience with the last couple of salads I've gotten here have been anything but fresh. Today I had rotten, black edged lettuce all through my Caesar salad-almost a third of it rotten. The worst part: this was my REMAKE! Apparently the cook staff can't recognize rotten produce and served the exact same salad i got previously, like there was nothing wrong. For an $8 side salad size salad, that's pitiful. I think mcdonalds might have fresher lettuce. Love the staff and atmosphere here, and can't get enough of the charged lemonade! Will definitely be back, but not for salad.
