Palenque Mexican Restaurant

We ate here December 4th. Will definitely come back. The food arrived fast, hot and it was delicious. The waiters and waitresses were definitely earning their tips. Constantly checking in on us. My husband always orders a chile relleno and this one was huge (and good)! His chicken tacos were also good. My order of enchiladas with rice and beans was also good. I recommend everyone to give the is place a try.

Palenque is the new raining champ of mexican food in Camden! The food here is exceptionally well made. My wife has the civchi and it came out like it was being served at a 5 star restaurant. I had the chicken chimichanga that was so full of flavor it's incredible. Happy hour the drinks are 1/2 priced are not poured from a premix. The wait staff was constantly moving, no one just standing around. Our server, Jose H., was prompt and on time with drinks and food, not to mention a great personality. Everyone should try the "TOP SHELF" margaritas, obviously not poured from a premix. In short, this place is incredible!! Love it and will be back often !!

The food is very ordinary. We’ve been twice for dinner and while we were seated right away, the wait time for our order to even be taken after sitting down was over 15 minutes, with the food taking an additional 20 to 25 minutes. Our waitress (we had the same one both times) was extremly slow and rarely checked on us. A couple of times during the wait time, a male employee asked if we wanted more chips or hot sauce. The average food and poor wait times give this one a 3 star food and a 1 star service. Try it for a new option in Camden but it’s very very average at best.

After seeing it packed every time I drove by, I finally went to try it. I was lucky to find a parking spot. HUGE menu. My waiter barely spoke English. I guess the bartender came and asked how my margarita was. Food was great. Excellent prices too. Music was obnoxiously loud. People were having to yell to talk at their tables. There were quite a few Hispanics eating there which you don't see much at other places which tells me it is more authentic food. I will definitely be back and spreading the word..
