Excellent—a must-try restaurant. I was truly blown away by the seamless blend of food and service here. We visited for dinner during a day trip to Mystic. Knowing how popular the downtown area gets, we arrived just before their 4:00 PM opening to secure a table for our family of five plus a baby. Even without a reservation, the staff was remarkably hospitable. Our waitress was a standout—she helped us navigate the menu with ease and was so friendly and interactive with our little one! As for the food: a home run on every single dish. Since we arrived early, we were able to enjoy both the happy hour and regular menus. The oysters were exceptionally fresh, and the mussels in coconut broth were phenomenal. Don’t skip the cornbread, either! The real surprises were the beets (the herb and labn
What a lovely dinner!! The clams & oysters were so fresh and so fun to try one of each! Kelsey steered us in the right direction with each recommendation! You can’t pass up on the empanadas!! The short rib & fluke made our taste buds dance and they were calling me a teddy bear on my way out because I was stuffed from shoveling every last bite of the tagliatelle in my mouth. Make yourself some time to stop by Oyster Club while you’re in Mystic! You won’t be disappointed!
We had an incredible experience at The Oyster Club! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the service was top-notch. Huge shoutout to Zachary M.—his service was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and full of excellent food recommendations that did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We were so satisfied with our meal that, unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert… but that just gives us the perfect excuse to come back! Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves great seafood and equally great service. Can’t wait for our next visit! #datenightdoneright This review was originally posted 8 days ago. After reading the other reviews on Google I had very high expectations, but it was underwhelming to say the least. We started off with a dozen of their HH oysters and their HH cocktail which were very good. We later ordered their NE clam chowder, mussels with sourdough bread, and steak frites. The mussels were quite good but the $8 sourdough bread add-on for 4 pieces of bread and butter felt sparse. The butter was barely touched as the sauce from the mussels was plenty. The calm chowder was refreshing but not as thick as a typical chowder. The dish that really ruined the experience were the steak frites. We ordered the steak medium rare and it came to us well-done. For the price point of the food and the quality that was received it was quite disappointing. I would recommend coming here fo
This was kind of a last minute thing because a friend heard we were in this area and recommended it. It was about an hour before they closed, so there was no wait for the two of us. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Someone else in the reviews mentioned that there’s street parking (very little, don’t rely on finding any) and there’s also a public lot about a block away (short walk slightly uphill to the restaurant). The restaurant validates an hour, which turned out to be a $5 credit, we stayed a little over an hour and a half and ended up paying like $10 still if I remember correctly. My husband and I are NOT seafood people, which makes this restaurant an unusual choice for us. They do have non-seafood options but we both had a fairly heavy lunch so decided to try their fish dishes.
