Customer Reviews
We found Oscar's Place truly wonderful. The menu and atmosphere were great, food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. Would highly recommend a visit.
What an amazing place in the West Village! We went for brunch and it was absolute perfection. We ordered the fish and chips, mac and cheese, and hot chocolate. Everything was top-notch. The fish and chips were incredible—the fish was fresh, meaty, and flavorful. The mac and cheese was a total masterpiece, and the hot chocolate was sublime (straight to the heart!). The staff is super kind and welcoming, and the ambiance feels just like home, very cozy and chill. We had an amazing experience and will definitely come back to try more dishes.
Great pancakes!! Had a craving for strawberry pancakes and stopped by here. Beautifully made and delicious. The owner and staff were also super thoughtful and attentive, despite the restaurant being packed that morning.
OMG, it doesn't look like much but if you're an Australian/British ex pat, living in NYC looking for an English style no frills bacon and eggs, or fish and chips. This place hits the spot! I had been craving this exact meal for weeks and just happened to be at a bar nearby and had 30 minutes to grab something to eat. Tiny drinks menu, not a classic NYC brunch place, more like your ancient tiny chip shop on the corner in London or the beach on the gold Coast. It's too expensive for what it is, but I'm so glad I found it!!
I’ve been here 3 times. I wish I took better photos. This place is charming. It’s tiny. The service is friendly and fast. The people who work here, including the chef, are warm and kind and easy going. The Belgian hot chocolate is fresh and delicious. My French onion soup, eggs and toast, salad and a tuba melt w fries were each delicious. They play French music and 1930 ‘s jazz and pleasant music to eat to. The cozy, candlelit, yellow tuliped atmosphere is sweet. I love this place!!
