Murdick’s Fudge in St. Ignace is a must-visit for fudge fans in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. This historic shop crafts creamy fudge with an 1887 recipe. The Up North Blueberry fudge was rich and smooth, with other flavors like triple chocolate espresso shining too. Cozy vibe, friendly staff, but prices are steep ($10-$12/half-pound). The “buy 3, get 2 free” deal helps. Less crowded than Mackinac Island, it’s a top-quality treat!
One of the older fudge stores in the city and island and some of the creamiest fudge. This location has parking in front of the store or parking across the street. For off season there was a great selection of fudge. There was a person there making some walnut fudge. Was fun to watch him and he was fun to chat with. Very friendly staff. Like I said, one of my favorite fudge stores. 😊
I read somewhere that the fudge and the pasties were something that you could not pass up when you visited the upper peninsula of Michigan. As we were driving through St Ignace I saw this place and we decided to stop and give it a sample. Generally I'm not a huge fan of very sweet things but I have to tell you the chocolate cherry fudge that they sell here is the most delicious thing ever. It is not incredibly sweet. The lady behind the counter told me that the darker colored fudges are not as sweet and the lighter you go in color the sweeter they are. Later on we bought another packet of the turtle flavor. Very delicious about $12 a box but they had a sale going on while we were there if you buy a certain number you got a certain number of them free. I don't recall what it was cuz we did
We had a quick visit with the staff at this location. They were super friendly and we even left with a decent amount of some of their famous fudge. Would highly recommend and would definitely go again the next time we are there!
The best fudge in a place known for fudge. Yummy. Always get the buy four get one free.
