Omg I’m in love with this place!! I got the strawberry matcha and it was one of the best matchas I’ve ever gotten! The girl who helped us was also so warm and welcoming. Everyone there is very knowledgeable and well educated on all things matcha. The stone mill was also really neat to see. I live about an hour away, but would gladly make the drive for this matcha😁

Really yummy matcha! This was one of my first experiences with matcha and it was fantastic! I love how they have the grinders right there in the cafe and that they make it in front of you in a very beautiful way. The flavors were deep and tasty! We tried a hot latte and a cold strawberry latte, both were great.

Ooika has got to be the most authentic place for matcha in this area! I visited this Lawrenceville location for the first time today, and loved it from the moment I stepped inside. It’s a calm and vibey interior, and the matcharistas were so welcoming! They were super helpful in answering any questions I had, and shared some of the history of Ooika and their matcha-making practices since I was new! I can tell how serious and dedicated they are. The matcha itself is a beautiful green and their default is oat milk, which is great if you have a lactose dietary restriction. They don’t sweeten it but offer a simple syrup to adjust the sweetness to your own liking! Overall, it’s a more subtle matcha flavor but I appreciate the fact that it’s ground in-house. Authentic Japanese Matcha! If matcha is your brew, then Ooika is your place! We had chocolate mint matcha latte. It was exquisite. No need to add sweetener as the flavor stood on its own. Sweeteners are available should you desire to add them. Shop is very clean and staff so kind a friendly. But be prepared to hit your wallet. Two of these matchas will set you back $18.

This was a great little matcha 🍵 spot. It’s a speciality shop, and a great treat to self. Matcha has so many more benefits than coffee. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable to help answer my questions and give tips, and you can watch them make it right there. It’s also great to support a local small business 💕
