House of Biryanis and Kebabs Lawrenceville, NJ

Very calm and soothing atmosphere. Attentive staff. The food delicious. I ordered thru their late lunch menu. I had their butter chicken with white rice. My boyfriend ordered the chicken kabab. It all was tasty and flavorful. Portions were very filling and I took home some leftover. I will come back to try their chicken tikka masala

This is not we expected from popular HBK chain. The HBK at Lawrenceville left us with no choice but leave this survey with least customer service provided. The table was not cleaned from previous customers and we had to ask them to clean. The starter we ordered was not at all hot , and was brought even before the plates were provided. Then it seems like the naan and curry served were made and kept aside ahead before they were brought to table . We had to literally ask for a fresh naan as both were not appetizing at all. Only thing is paneer curry was good. They didn’t had veg dum biryani as it was done for phone orders. We ordered paneer biryani as we had no choice and waited 15 min for it to come. It was good, but not great. Again we had to wait for 13 min to get a to go box which we had

Fantastic experience. They were super nice and helped navigate the menu. Can’t wait to try the dum briyani next time!

can’t believe my favorite biryani joint in the wider P area is losing its quality control this bad just a bit too much to let go, sorry. warning to all this is reserved or something worse to get this bad. edit: what’s crazy is I absolutely love the paneer and bumping this up to 2 stars since Ill be getting it again

I've been here 3 times with the previous two being great experiences with the food but today not so much. The entrees are usually rice heavy but with seasoned rice. The food is always flavorful! I ordered the Gongura Mutton Curry which came out to $23 and it just came with a small serving of White Rice and pretty much Goat Stew. Why was this dish so expensive for little food!?!? I feel robbed of my money! I'm so disappointed.. especially driving an hour home to see that this was all that came with that particular entree.
