Onset Beach Patio & Grille

We have eaten here several times. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing, being directly on the water. The service is friendly and accommodating. The interior is cute and there is a lovely, huge deck for outside dining and I believe dancing at night. We dined there yesterday. This time we each ordered an Eggplant Caprese and shared an order of onion rings. The sandwiches were sizable and we realized we could have shared one.

I really wanted to like this place. The pictures online make the food look really appetizing & the menu is huge. However we did not have a good experience. I paid $87 for 3 kids meals, a large fry, a salad, and an extra large sub. The large fry was more like a small. The salad was disappointing and small for the $22 it cost. One of the burgers from the kid’s meal was way undercooked. The sub was labeled extra large but was literally a regular sized sub cut in half. We had ordered online and it said it would be ready in 25 minutes but ended up having to wait over an hour for our food to be ready for take out. This place is very over priced for the quality of their food.

I wanted to enjoy this place bc I thought it was an owner getting a bad rap. We ordered 3 food items, each one didnt come out at same time. The grilled cheese barely looked held together, the cheeseburger is on an English muffin so my child didn't eat it. We got a quesadilla, when it arrived it was made with mozzarella cheese or American, on a spinach roll. We were just going to not eat it and say nothing, we had already paid and didnt want to cause issues. The waitress asks us about it and we just said we didnt like it and weren't going to eat it, no need to get the owner. ....then gets the owner. He proceeds to lean in and came over confrontational, as a woman it made me feel uncomfortable. I explained it was not at all like authentic Mexican food, I thought it would be prepared in the

Cool little place with outdoor seating, but I was not impressed with the food. Menu says the burgers are 1/4 pound hand packed angus meat. That is not the case. My burger was horrible. the meat was like rubber, it was overcooked and greasy. I took one bite and that was it. I think the place has potential, but the menu is too massive. Also it's carry out so if you want to go sit and have dinner and a few drinks you're walking up to the counter to get a drink every time and the line can get long.

Frank (the owner) is the man he aims to please everyone he’s super personable and wants to deliver the best food he can to your table. my father and I traveled around the cape for 4-5 days and this restaurant is one of the best you’re going to find without taking out a loan. The customer service is top notch and we will be back every time we are in the area. Till next time Frank 🫡
