Glen Cove Hotel & Restaurant

Shared a romantic Valentines Day dinner with my love at Glen Cove. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and Valentines specials were delicious. My sweetheart even left with warm wishes, appreciation, and flowers (roses). Service and hospitality at Glen Cove is exceptional, the best in South East, New England.

This was our first visit to this restaurant… the knowledgeable server was delightful… food was excellent… portions were generous… carrot cake receives an A+. Two of our party had the chicken stir fry… two had shrimp and scallops with a pesto sauce. It was a bit noisy, but that was because there was a big group of 20+ who all seemed to know each other very well… once they were all seated and served it became quieter. The restaurant is not fancy, but it’s comfortable. We look forward to trying the downstairs “Rathskeller” in the future. The downstairs is open Thursday - Sunday nights with acoustic music on Thursdays, a band on Fridays and Saturdays, and karaoke on Sundays. The weekend brunch menu is very appealing.

There should be a star for parking. I would give it a 1 star. I got there around 9:30 pm. It’s is a night with a live band. I couldn’t find a spot and wasn’t warned. So I call and talk to someone who precedes to tell me it’s first come first serve. Then offers no other info. I was a little upset and asked if I was supposed to sleep in my car. I shouldn’t have said that. She irritably comes out and finds me and finds me a spot. I go inside to learn that parking was not guaranteed. To be fair, they gave me note to put on my dash that says I am a guest and says they try to put out cones and I can move them and park. The rest of the staff were really nice. It’s a super old building that I guess they renovated. There is an elevator. I was on the 4th floor and could still hear the live band in m

This place is a gem! The food and service are stellar and the rooms are very comfortable. We have made it a tradition every year to go for Sunday night karaoke and stay over. We love it!

Fantastic luncheon for our group of 14. We loved the holiday decor and views. Our hostess Abby was extra attentive and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails, drinks and entrees: soup, salad, burgers, fish & chips, pizza and steak tips. Thank you for making our event special.
