Onigilly Japanese Kitchen - Milpitas

I had heard a lot about Onigilly and finally decided to try it since it’s inside the mall. It was definitely worth the visit. Some of the onigiri were decent, some were good, and a few were really great. My favorites were the Spam, spicy shrimp, and spicy tuna – those were the best in my opinion. We also tried the vegetarian options, which were okay. Other good ones were the ume salmon and snow crab. Overall, it’s a nice place with tasty food and definitely worth trying if you’re in the area.

Second location I've tried from this chain and both times they were solid. However I tried their poke bowl today and I think it's one of my favorite places for poke now. Good portions with a lot of choices, flavors were strong as well since its basically what they use to make their onigiri. Would recommend for their poke bowls alone, opens quite early too since its a mall location.

I love this place. I have noticed the Westfield valley fair location makes it better because the meat layer is thicker. I felt this location put more rice than meat, so there is variation in the quality. Flavor was otherwise excellent.

Pretty good portions for the price. The sushi/fish options are an extra dollar more. Came out to be a little over $5 per onigiri. Will come back to try other flavors.
