Omar's Pitas & Platters

I've always been curious about this little takeout only spot across the street from Target. There's a small lot out front. Walk inside and the friendly staff will walk you through the menu. I ordered the pita with chicken and all the toppings. I made the mistake of adding corn for fifty cents and the green chutney. The flavors were odd and I didn't enjoy it. However, it was my mistake. If I had gone with the spicy white sauce and their special sauce, it would have been delicious! It's messy to eat so grab lots of napkins!

I happened to be working in the area and had a taste for some fries and something I don't eat often but like. I looked up greek food near me and Omar's Pitas & Platters were close by (down the street). I ordered the meal for $15 which included a pita, fries and a canned drink. I got a crispy chicken pita with the spicy white sauce and Omar's Signature sauce. I devoured the fries (not pictured) and am having a hard time trying not to eat the rest of my pita which is intended for my lunch tomorrow because it is so good. I will definitely be back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I heard this was the best platter in the DMV and decided to drive an hour to try it—and yes, it was absolutely worth it! The jerk chicken was tender and full of flavor, paired perfectly with the rice. The portion size is generous, the toppings are fresh, and the price is amazing for the quality you get. Definitely one of the best platters I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

I love Omar’s. I just recently discovered it. It’s like an advanced chipotle spot, so much better, richer flavor, great portions. Amazing food. Chicken is always well cooked. They give you enough food for at least two meals BUT out of the 5 times I’ve ate here, I’ve found a bug in my salad twice :( I wish they would wash their salad because it seems like they don’t. I’m still going to eat here 🤣 I will just stop asking for the salad because uh yeah, it be killing the vibe ngl. So if you want to peacefully eat here, probably don’t order the salad. Haven’t found bugs in anything else :)

Stopped by Omar's today and got a crispy chicken pita (meal deal with fries and a drink). It was fantastic! Super fresh ingredients, hot fries, and great selection for drinks. One of the best pitas I've had in minute. Only downside is they don't have seating inside or outside, so we sat on the curb in the parking lot.
