I'm not local, I just like visiting libraries, and Old Town's library is very nice! It has plenty of seating options for solo or groups, cool shelving with unique lighting, the classic community puzzle, and "Library of Things". There are beautiful paintings, quilts, and other interesting art all around the library. Definitely recommended visiting for anyone wanting a place to read, to use the computer, or looking into other resources they offer!

I love the OTPL! It’s large, beautiful, historic and has a huge selection of books. Endless resources. The staff is what makes it great though.

We have been to several libraries in the area and old town library has got to be the best. Not only do they have a nice selection of books, especially for such a small town, but the workers are just so nice and so friendly and so eager to help. They are so patient when my kids bring a pile of 30 books to the front. They're just so happy to see kids reading. They do a lovely job of getting new books too. It feels like every few months they have a nice assortment of new books. They do a great job of balancing early chapter books, higher chapter books, and graphic novels for the kids. It's easy as a parent to let them grab graphic novels and chapter books. They were opened for a little bit with covid, but as of now they're shut down again to physically walking inside. They've been so sweet th

People should read more. Kids should read more. Library cards are free. I highly recommend you utilize this wonderful aspect of being a citizen of whatever town or city you live in. Maybe I'm biased, I can't think of any library I wouldn't give 5 stars. Many libraries now offer audio books, DVDs and video games and even periodicals (magazines and newspapers). If you're reading this right now remind yourself that some books are not that much longer than this review.

We were in Maine looking for information about the Penobscot Indians. The 3 librarians listened to us and went and retrieved documents they were aware of. They were so very helpful. Thank you! Paul Smith Burlington, Iowa
