It’s nice that you can make a reservation here but you might not need it during lunch. There is a wide selection of Georgian wine so I’d recommend that over the well cocktails. The menu with photos is very helpful. Pricing feels a little all over the place. Cheesy baked goods seemed relatively inexpensive while appetizers are smaller but priced similarly. The quality of ingredients is good. We had a situation where the restaurant was out of the second thing we wanted to order and only that thing that was listed on the menu, which you’d always like to know before. The restaurant includes tip in your bill when they deliver it, even on parties smaller than 6 people so please read your receipt closely. I’d come back if a friend was really in the mood for Georgian food but not often.
Outstanding restaurant with a warm atmosphere, excellent service, and fantastic food. I may be somewhat biased, as I come from an ex-USSR background and am familiar with and enjoy the dishes they serve. However, if you want to experience authentic Georgian food, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. It's truly fantastic.
Old Tbilisi Garden gave such an authentic Georgian dining experience. We started off with traditional drinks like the Old Tbilisi and Garden City cocktails, which were both super refreshing and unique. For starters, we had the potatoes which were crisp and perfectly seasoned. The Adjaruli was the highlight.. hot, fresh, and mixed right in front of us with cheese, egg, and butter. Watching it come together was part of the fun. For the main, we tried the Lobio and it was packed with flavor and really comforting. The ambience was cozy with warm music playing in the background, and the hospitality stood out. The staff gave great recommendations and made us feel really welcome. Every dish we tried hit the mark. Would definitely come back to explore more from the menu.
This is by far the best Georgian food in the city. A Latvian friend of mine turned me on to it, and I immediately became obsessed with the breads, soups and dumplings. Since then I have tried many Georgian spots.. but nothing compares. I always come back. This restaurant is in the heart of the village, its cozy, old school nyc vibes, has excellent food, and proper service. Highly recommend.
Genuinely the best food I've ever had in the city, been living here for 4 years now and nothing tops Georgian food. And this place does is masterfully. Highly recommend!
