Old Neighborhood Pub

There is nothing like supporting local. But when that local place also has heart and great food it is unmatched. I reached out in hopes to surprise a friend with some of their famous food and the response was quick and friendly. I soon came to learn so much more about them as people and business owners. They live a full busy life and support animals. Now who could ask for anything more!! The food was amazing and hit the spot for my friend who just complete his cancer treatment. Jer and Draya are amazing humans wonderful cooks. Thank you does not say enough.

What a great place! I found it when I Googled "Best reuben in Cedar Rapids" and the Old Neighborhood Pub came up. After reviewing the menu, I ultimately landed on the Cubano and OMG it was SO good. This sandwich was better than most Cuban sandwiches I've had (having lived in FL for 20 years). It has all of the ingredients and authentic flavors of a classic cuban and made with generous portions. Beyond the food. It's a nice spot. The decor, atmosphere and service were welcoming and wholesome. I'll be back soon to get after that reuben soon!

Had to park on the street. Fryer was down… no fries or onion rings. Steak sandwich not available. So I had the Reuben with a salad. Reuben was very good. Check out was delayed due to a computer issue. It was cold 10F outside and not so warm inside…I was wearing a sweater and added my wool scarf. I have no clue how this restaurant has a 4.7 rating. Definitely not on the list for a return or recommendation for friends.

I feel like this is a little hidden gem in Cedar Rapids. The staff is always great, the room feels comfortable and lived-in, and the food is unreasonably good every single time! I have played here with my band a handful of times and we always have a great experience. I’d happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a drink and delicious sandwich in the Cedar Rapids area.

We came down from Minnesota on our way to florida and my friend told me we had to stop here. I’m so glad we did cause we can’t wait to come back now! Great vibes, great food, and the owner was such a cool chick and made us feel so welcome.
