Old Mansfield Homestead in Stowe

This is one of the most special places I have ever stayed in- I would say been in. I stayed twice in 2018 and 2019, and was in complete awe of the place, every square inch of construction and coloration and tone of atmosphere. It’s been featured in a number of magazine articles and is a genuine expression of old-school New England architecture and lifestyle. The owners are incredible human beings, genuine in spirit, wisdom and warmth, and blew my mind with their life story and story of the homestead. It’s a truly incredible and magical place, it’s been years now and would love to return- although last I heard they are no longer hosting guests now as they’ve had family return, but that was a while ago as well, so I cannot speak to their current activity.
