The Avocado Pit

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at The Olive Pit in Stowe, VT. The menu choices included every combination of tacos and burritos. The “pit” bowl burritos and tacos are in a bowl without the tortilla. The flavors are fresh and wonderful! It also sells sodas and beers. The restaurant has 6 tables and take-out service. Service is friendly, helpful, and efficient! Lastly, the Olive Pit’s homemade hot sauce (without preservatives) is very good. I bought a bottle to take home!

This place is a small cozy place with great food. Plenty of good choices on the menu. The tacos are amazing especially the pit taco. The salad as described: Romaine and cabbage blend, beans, roasted corn, pickled onions, cheese, meat or veggie, dressed with our cilantro-lime vinaigrette. OMG amazing. This is a healthy meal. Thank you!!! Will certainly repeat again in my future visits to Stowe. The owner is a sweetheart.

Great spot for lunch while enjoying the town. The food is fantastic. Kind of like a chipotle style menu but the food is way better here. We tried a few things on the menu and everything was delicious. I definitely recommend the Pit Bowl with beef…it was very tender and had lots of flavor and great textures with the greens mix. Their queso is also excellent. This also seems to be a family friendly option. They had high chairs available, decent kids menu, as well as a changing table in the bathroom.

Great spot to hit in Stowe. Nice clean esthetics. The food follows suit. Had a great chicken burrito that weighed like 5 pounds, but after eating almost all of it, I did not have that heavy feeling normally associated with Mexican restaurants. Would repeat!

This is what you get when you order takeout and ask for extra sauce/queso. Called and asked and they said a $5 credit after multiple times of this happening. Overall food is decent. Just know they’re not adding the extra charges to your food.
