From the moment you join the line, you know you're in for something special. ​The staff deserves massive recognition; they were incredibly friendly and engaging, turning the wait into a genuinely enjoyable part of the experience. The little touches, like offering line snacks, show they truly care about their patrons' experience. ​When it comes to the food, the advice is simple: get the Sampler. It is hands-down the best way to explore their entire, masterful menu. Every bite is a winner, but the true star of the show is the brisket. I can confidently say this is some of the best brisket I have ever had

It was a great experience from beginning to end. While waiting in line they came out greeted everyone, explained the process and gave a sample. The sample was sooo good. It was a pork skin with pulled pork, their pimento cheese and sauce. The line was rather long but moved fairly quickly (to speed up the process, look at the menu online and have in mind what you would like to order). I had the sampler and everything was good, especially the brisket and pulled pork. Don't forget to try the Cheerwine bbq sauce....mmm mmmmm good! I'll definitely be returning.

Old Colony Smokehouse is incredible! The food was absolutely amazing—hands down the best brisket and ribs we’ve ever had. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. What really sets this place apart is the owner. He personally talked to every customer who walked through the door, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. If you’re anywhere near the area, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend!

Stopped in here one day after seeing you on TikTok, that was back in April, I’ve been three times this year 😁 The food here is amazing and the service is great!!! It is now a stop every time I go to the outer banks. Definitely worth the 45 min ‘detour’!

We absolutely love Old Colony! We have never had a bad meal. All the employees are fantastic. You can't go wrong with a Texas Twinke, whole hog BBQ, brisket burnt end, or the Mac and cheese. Save room for the homemade desserts!
