Granville Queen Inn

Such a beautiful place! We truly enjoyed our stay here and our first visit to Edenton, NC. The breakfast was delicious, and the location couldn’t have been better.. just a quick walk to the downtown area. Gigi was amazing and made us (and everyone there) feel so welcome. We will definitely be coming back!

Our first time spending a stay at an Edenton NC B&B. Our search discovered the Queen and immediately drew our interest. We were familiar with this area and had driven through Edenton many times. Beautiful early 1900 southern home located in a quiet neighborhood. Queen Street is a short stroll to Broad Street and the old historic downtown. Only for the brave during this cold spell. Should be beautiful experience with warmer weather. We arrived on a Friday afternoon, shortly after the 3p checkin. We were graciously, warmly greeted by Emily. She briefed us on where available amenities like water, ice, breakfast, wine, and the huge assortment of available teas. We resided in the Pecan Room. It was very lovely as a B&B. The breakfasts were good; they have a Keurig, a pot for hot water, and a great selection of tea. The bed was comfy and the room was nice, oh, and the shower had hot water. The only odd thing is that this was our first time staying at a B&B, and we have stayed at more than a few, so the owner didn't live there. It is run more like a hotel with a great staff when they are there. Don't get me wrong, but my wife said after business hours, we were on autopilot. I was good with that since I am assertive enough to raid the kitchen for more coffee cups, fill the teapot with water, etc. We may go back with friends someday, but if you expect someone to be with you 24 hours a day, it might not be for you. We had a great time NYE, parked our car and walked thru town. Hosts were super welcoming. Room was spacious and quiet and breakfast delightful. Woke up smelling delicious cinnamon buns baking. Would definitely return and each room has its own unique character and the first floor so pretty. Thank you Gigi and Matt!

Made a last minute reservation and made a great decision! The Granville Queen Inn is beautiful, the staff accommodating and the breakfast was amazing. The location is close to restaurants, the waterfront and many historical sites. We will be back!
