OLD BUKHARA

What a lovely spot. Came here for a date and enjoyed our meal. We had the national rice dish and the pastries and that was yummy. The whole chicken was good too. Would definitely come back. Glad to have a Uzbeki place in town

We stopped by Old Bukhara Uzbek Restaurant and tried the Uzbek Plov. Unfortunately, the meat tasted old and was quite dry. We still ate it since we were hungry and short on time, but it definitely wasn’t what we expected in terms of freshness or flavor. The place itself seemed fine, but the quality of the dish could be much better. Hopefully next time, the food will taste fresher.

Attended a birthday on January 17th. While the affair was fun and the food was plentiful , it was marred by an unfortunate incident. My friend who hosted her birthday party with over 20 guests accidentally left the birthday without her birthday presents. They were under the table. She was one of the last customers to leave the establishment that night. She tried earnestly to contact the restaurant the next morning. No one returned her call. She even stopped by the next day and was flatly denied a resolution. No one offered to check the cameras or look through the trash. I’m only to assume the staff either through away her 3 birthday presents or pocketed them. Even though it was a fun night, I wouldn’t bring gifts to this venue (which is odd because they had 3 birthday parties there that

I really didn’t like the plov. The rice was dry, as if it was from yesterday, and the meat was tough and tasteless. The wooden plate had an unpleasant smell, like dish soap — it was uncomfortable to eat. The salad was at best 2 out of 5. The bread was fine, no complaints. I definitely don’t recommend the plov. I didn’t try the other dishes, so I can’t say anything about them.

The upstairs area is so cute. Our server was Khamera she was super kind and understanding bc my nephews are on the spectrum and she handled the chaos pretty well! There was about 17 of us and she handled it like there were 3 of her!! Now the food. Omg even the French fries were delicious. Loved the manti, the wings were phenomenal and the dorado. One slight improvement was the uyghur noodles were a bit mushy I wish It was more chewy but 10/10 for sauce and flavors ..their chili oil packs heat! I loved it and cant wait to go back! Oh yeah and the mojito and teshken tea was so so delightful 🙂
