Customer Reviews
Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stop on our way to Nashville. We wanted a quick lunch and good beer and we were not disappointed. The food was exceptional the beer was just as good and Austin provided us with amazing service and was willing to answer all our questions. We might live 4 hours away but we will definitely be back. And if you are looking for amazing beer and food to match this is definitely the place to go.
Tried Ol Mad for the first time since it was previously Texas Hops and Chops. The service provided by Alyssa and the other staff was very friendly and the food was just right very flavorful and the right temperature. I chose to sit at the bar as a single diner even though the chairs didn’t look very appeasing. Shortly after I was asked if I wanted to try another bar stool that they had just started putting together. I chose to sit in one and it definitely made the experience 10x’s better! I’ll be back for sure.
So excited that we found this unique gem. The food was fresh and scrumptious! Austin was a pleasure to meet and provided us with prompt, friendly service. You HAVE to check this place out! Enjoy the photo, no added filters.
Food, service, and music were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our food on this visit. CFS was a thin sliced steak (sirloin?) with a brown gravy, served with a mash and typically greens. All had good flavor and the portions were ample. Could cut steak with just a fork. Kids chicken strips were made with a tender and moist piece of chicken breast. Fries were all fried crispy and the cracked pepper fries had loads of flavor too. Cheese curds had some garlic in them and the flavor was outstanding. They have a brewery on-site, and the bathroom was themed accordingly. Music was great, heard mostly 90s country (the last great country music). Prices were very reasonable at $10-20 for a plate, and both our appetizers were $5/each. We will return and enjoy again soon.
The salmon bowl was amazing! We also had the cheese curds, frog legs and their Brewhouse burger! Everything was delicious and service was great!
