This is a very nice restaurant. The food and service were top notch. We sat on the second floor which had really nice views too. Please note: This is in a historic building so handicapped available seating is limited to a couple of downstairs tables. I would enjoy coming back for another meal here.
My brother and I enjoyed a delicious dinner here before seeing a concert in Troy. The location was perfect as located on the walk from the Courtyard Hotel to the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. The back windows and patio face the riverfront so I want to return in the warmer weather to really enjoy the view as it was freezing this visit. The staff was warm and welcoming and I had a great conversation with the owner. For starters, we enjoyed the Yuka Frita with their four housemade sauces. The flavors were great and it was nice trying a new root vegetable. For the main course, we both selected the Pabellon Criollo which was equally as tasty. A simple dish with meat, white rice and beans with fried egg. I didn't need to use any sauces as the flavors were satisfying alone. There are so many thin
Excellent service 100% Fruit juice loved it! The cachapa is almost perfect, missing only our soft cheese but I know how hard is to come by that. 5 star Yuca frita Tasty sauces
Had a light lunch with the 'Sopa de Pollo' (chicken soup) and a side of Black Beans. The meal came with four sauces. Tried them on the black beans and they all nicely enhanced the dish. The soup was a little salty for my taste but most people would like it as is. The service was good. Fortunately, the Venezuelan (I assume based on the stated "Authentic Venezuelan Food" on the menu.) waitress understood and could speak English (I know some French and Italian but no Spanish). Atmosphere was delightful with both indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor had a Hispanic theme and display. Outdoor was roomy with tables and most having umbrellas.
This little restaurant serves the best arepas I’ve ever had. I had the Reina arepas and a delicious and refreshing tamarind juice. There’s also an outdoor patio overlooking the river. I highly recommend this cute eatery when in Troy.
