Ocotillo Restaurant & Cantina

I’ve driven by this place many times in the last 9 years but never have it a thought. Then a friend who lives in our community (Four Seasons) recommended this place. It’s just down the street from us so convenient. Totally not what you would expect from the outside! (Don’t judge a book by its cover!) There’s a few booths inside and an outdoor dining area. The staff was great! The good was/is awesome. I’ll be back!!!

Jocelyn was awesome and made our first experience here amazing. We had already eaten at a crappy Mexican place on the other side of town so came here only for margaritas. The margaritas were fantastic. Seriously amazing. But the highlight of the night was our server because she was super fun and nice and genuine. Tip her well she's awesome

Service was great! We took forever to order because we were talking and they brought us two baskets of chips while we waited without us even asking. Super attentive and friendly food was great. All of the people working made sure we were taken care of but no one ever felt pushy or like they were hovering! 10/10 will go back!

I no longer live in that area but when I do go through I have a chance to stop at my old favorites. This time we stopped at Ocotillos, really looked forward to it to. To my dismay it was not the same by far! We spent $140 with 3 people & 3 to go dinners, an appetizer of guacamole (cuz I didn't like it) so either my taste has changed or they have!! The prices are still decent, but we didn't care about the price, we were just anticipating the food we had grown to LOVE. We all agreed it just wasn't the same. Glad I don't go through there often.😁

My cousin told us about this place for the menudo. Menudo has a great flavor and tastes good. Tried a michilada and it too had great flavor along with the chips and salsa. We'll be back to try more.
