Pupuseria Azacualpa

Went to dine in and took 1 hour and 45 mins to get our food. Not only did it take the waitress 20 minutes to even come greet us and order our drinks, but we also never got our full order even after waiting almost two hours. At the end we had to notify the waitress so she can remove the missing pupusa that was never brought out to us. We ordered 3 pupusas, 1 tamale, and 1 caldo for only two of us which were all really good so the food does taste great however, it’s the customer service that needs improvement. I understand making the food takes time but to not even be greeted or get our orders taken in a timely manner is what made this experience unpleasant plus they weren’t organized. Let me start by saying I'm Salvadorian my family is from San Salvador. I know what authentic pupusas should taste like. I was in the mood for pupusas so I Googled the closest place . Let me start with saying the service was amazing, very hospitable very friendly. The food is prepared fresh in front of you. If you know anything about pupusas they have to be hand prepared and then cooked. So be a little patient. The wait time was maybe 7 minutes. The food came out very quickly in my opinion I started speaking to the owners while I waited. The wife was so kind even gave me a free authentic Salvadorian horchata, delicious The pupusas are very flavorful. The food was soo good. Everything was freshly made. It took me back to my home town Guatemala. Although, i know the food is from El Salvador. I will definitely be coming back.

Bought 4 of them and on the third one I found a hair in the pupusa, enjoy the food up until I found the hair.

This is the best Yuca con Chicharrón that I have ever ate in California. I always ask for it with extra Chicharrón. The panes con pollo are the best. Even though it’s an hour drive from my house , it’s definitely worth it because the food is delicious. I totally recommend this restaurant!
