Great Malaysian food with great flavor and prices! Avoid getting seated at the two tables next to the entrance window - it was really cold :’) Would def come back tho With tip, it was $25 for 3 people. - Roti canai: 11/10, the roti was SO crispy (ASMR level). The curry dipping sauce was so flavorful. MUST GET - Beef rendang: 11/10, fav dish. So flavorful, and the beef was so tender. MUST GET - Pineapple fried rice: 8/10, I’m not usually a fan of getting fried rice, esp at restaurants, but this was surprisingly so good!! There could be more pineapple tho. Would get it again! - Hainanese chicken (1/2): 7/10, not sure I’m the biggest fan, but my friends really liked it. I didn’t expect there to be cartilage but there was some. The 1/2 portion was very large for 3 people, could’ve gotten 1/4
We ordered Crispy Pork Intestines , a bit smelly, but crispy and yum ! Shrimp Puff was so good, Roti Canai and Nyonya Satay were yummy as well. For entree we ordered a lot such as Penang Asam Laksa was yummy. This on was recommended. Steamed fish has a slightly fishy smell but sauce was good. And my favorite was Hainanese Chicken with Rice Chicken rice subtly flavored with steamed chicken with bone come with delicious sauce, We all love this menu so much. Fried Bun with condensed milk, were so good ! Love it. This restaurant so wide , staff friendly and helpful. Specifically, my friend have shrimp allergy , He try to explain and ask for awareness the dish that contains with shrimp in ingredients. Nice!!
been craving malaysian food lately and nyonya seriously hit the spot. everything was sooo flavorful and such a good value. the satay was cooked perfectly and the peanut sauce was extra creamy and savory. the roti canai was perfectly crisp on the outside with the best curry for dipping. i also loved the pearl noodle dish and as a noodle girly, this one gets my full approval. the water spinach had such a great umami flavor, and you absolutely can’t miss the hainanese chicken. so tender, so flavorful, and paired perfectly with the chicken broth rice. overall, a must check out malay spot if you’re craving comforting and homey meals
Lucky to get reservation for a fairly big group for a Sunday lunch. This is a Michelin Guide Malaysian restaurant. Great food and good service. I love that they gave me condensed milk for my roti! Must try the coconut rice. Note it’s cash only!
Exactly as good as everyone says it is. Service was a bit slow as the restaurant was completely packed, but the chefs and waiters had a great turnaround time and food came out rapidly. (We were asked if we wanted everything to come out as it was completed.) We ordered the roti canai to start. (Listen to everyone; you have to get it!) Despite the seemingly deceptive plating, the roti portion is way above average, curry sauce is great, and overall great cost value. The Penang Assam Laksa was also phenomenal. The broth is balanced and light; tart and fishy (we were warned it would be “very fishy,” we personally have no issue with fishiness) and extremely umami. The rice noodles are super bouncy, wish we ordered extra. We ended off with the Nasi Lemak; hard recommend. Each dish was cooked to p
