Northwest Seafood Tioga

Disappointed, I had such high hopes and they fell short of G'ville seafood, Temoo, and especially Cedar River. They have a nice storefront for purchasing food to prepare at home. I arrived at noon, was the only one there, and it still took 25 minutes to get the food to me. Three people were working as I saw them walking in differnt places of the store. The food came out and it left much to be desired. I had fish cubes, with mediocre fries and hush puppies that were half cold. No tater sauce and after two fruitless attempts to get the ladies attention behind the counter I gave up as my lunch time had long since passed. Attention‼️ when I tell y’all Northwest seafood, Tioga this is the best place in Gainesville to go for your oysters I kid you not we have been coming to this place for five years now this will be our sixth year. I forgot to post last year so I’m a bit late so I’m a post to oysters from last year and then I’ll do another post but when I tell y’all they never disappoint they are so juicy so big so salty and just absolutely wonderful and the staff is absolutely amazing. We have two kids with autism and they always bring it out to my car that way that my children are safe that is what you call amazing customer service and they don’t complain. They’re wonderful. Just returned home from purchasing a 1/2 bushel of oysters from Northwest Seafood's Tioga location. I immediately took to cleaning and inspecting them to establish the quality. I have twice gotten food poisoning from "bad" oysters, so I am very cautious to ensure freshness. These were Texas oysters harvested on 12/26/25, and the tag indicates a Sell By date of 1/12/26. Today is 1/10, so there's 2 days left on the tag. I will say that initial inspection showed a well cleaned batch. But a deeper inspection indicated a high percentage of opened (dead) oysters. While performing my own cleaning, I segregated the closed (live) oysters from the open (dead) ones. In total, my "half-bushel" had 62 oysters in it. Smell is rancid. Couple of fresh fish, seafood had very little selection in the freezer. Better selection at Winn-Dixie.Wont be going back there again

I came on Tuesday and enjoyed the shrimp special! Fries were crunchy on the outside and soft inside the way I like them. The hush puppies are soooooo good. The best I’ve had. The shrimp seasoned and grilled was delicious like shrimp should taste. Oh they have Georgia pecans! I loved it!
