The food, service and ambiance are AMAZING!! Janisa was our server and she is super kind and helpful. My husband ordered a Tecate beer and a 400 conejos mezcal shot, I ordered the Sabia and Cassis. We got the chicharron and the masa frita con birria as apps. We ordered the Mojarra Frita with a side of tostones to share as our main. The drinks and food were all delicious and portion sizes are huge!
A Mexican treat downtown Verona . I was really surprised what became of this space, I walked by several times before. You enter and there is the Bar with all the different tequilas, mezcal, the decor transports you to a Mexican village somewhere. Love the ceiling, the lights, the decor, the organic feel in this place. Our server was very friendly and informative. Even though we didn’t have reservations we were seated immediately at a nice big table. The menu items were explained to us. So were the specialty drinks. The classic margarita was very good, and the classic pinacolada takes a different spin here. The Mexican corn is served in a glass, Guac is fresh and chips are super crunchy. Both the burrito bowl and the traditional burrito were really good. The mushroom substitute is a good veg
It was okay. Really fun atmosphere, definitely need a reservation. Servers were all kind, attentive and efficient. The food was okay, I had the burrito quesadilla and the exterior cheese was burnt. The nachoes were my personal favorite from the menu food wise. Drinks were also good. Overall though expensive for food that was okay
New Mexican joint in Verona. We’ve tried some of the group’s other restaurants which have been pretty good. Ordered esquites, steak, chicken, churros bites. Esquites - these were roasted corn esquites and really delicious. IMO $11 is steep for the amount we got. I’m comparing this to dozens of other places, mainly in the city. Steak - ordered medium and the chimichurri was pretty good, though steak was a little chewy. The masa fries are a bit strange and personally I prefer regular fries. These also had a slightly chewy texture. Mole chicken - surprisingly good mole and the chicken was well cooked. Really enjoyed this dish but I believe they need to give much more mole (I gave server this feedback). There was just enough to cover the chicken but the chicken should have been sitting in
Loved the vibrant atmosphere at Nomada. The decor, music, and energy made for a great dining experience. The tacos & food overall was decent, but the highlight was the selection of creative cocktails—delicious and well-crafted. Friendly service, good drinks and a fun vibe make this spot worth a visit.
