Lakeside Deli Verona

Went in to pick up a door dash and decided to get a hot pastrami and not only the sandwich great but the service and hospitality was awesome!!!! Everyone from the workers to the owner was beyond nice!!! I highly recommend this place. Wish I had photos 😫 but I was talking to the people so much and enjoyed the experience so much I didn’t even think to take a photo….Thats when you know the service was everything 🥰 Thank you guys . Proof that there’s still good people in this messed up world

This is Verona’s staple deli. I have been going to this deli for years since I was in grade school and it speaks volumes since it’s been around for so many years. The employees are nice and even remember me from when I used to come in when I was younger. You can’t go wrong with anything you purchase. My favorite is the turkey and provolone sub and a mudslide.

The food was excellent! So fresh, the bread was perfect, and being able to get extra fresh ingredients on my sandwich beyond lettuce/tomato/onion to make it exactly the way I’d make it for myself was fantastic! Friendly and helpful folks at the store answered my questions. I’ll be back!

What a shame! Lakeside deli was a staple in Verona for a long time. Today's visit was atrocious. I guess they want to be like Wawa now since you can't order from a human as they installed kiosks to order from. The people refused to assist when the kiosk didn't work, and insisted it worked. Turned around and walked out. There are way better options in a great state of deli's. Im guessing this place is no longer owned by the Hill family based on the service and condition of the store.

By far, the absolute best, corned beef Reuben sandwich with sweet potato crinkle fries in New Jersey! And my driver was a sweetheart... So kind and polite and friendly and a wonderful attitude. Lakeside delicatessen is always not only five stars but I would give them 10 stars in an instant!!!!!!!
