Nokka LLC

Nokka has been set up on 128th just off St. Nicholas Terrace for a little while and is absolutely delicious. The menu is a blend of soul food and Italian specialities that hail from the business partners putting it together. When it is open on my block, I pick up meals to go. You could eat at the counter in warmer weather. The experience and the food like are delightful, including the smash burgers, empanadas, jerk chicken, and pork ribs, plus the sides like mac and cheese and cheese fries that combine just the right greasy spoon food truck feel with elevated touches such as a home-made dip. Oh and the gnocchi is delicate yet flavorful, the sauces available seem to change periodically so there is an impressively large menu yet always something new to try for what is basically a camper-trai

I stopped by and grabbed some spaghetti bolognese which is made with wagyu! You get an incredible value for a more than reasonable price, and both the Italian chef and other person working there are very kind and make for some great conversation on your way. Truly a great place for a quick bite!

I stumbled across Ñokka one rainy morning and discovered a delightful small business that breathes life back into a fast food burger. Always fresh, never frozen, the owner fixed up a great smash burger for me in a few minutes flat. (Puts Shake Shack to shame.) I'd like to swing by for other items when I have more time!

Great, homemade food with top ingredients and a lovely set up. The chef/owner is a character. Highly recommend.
