Nishaan

Tried Nishaan Chopped Cheese Sandwich and really enjoyed it. The sandwiches are made like a classic New York chopped cheese, but with a Pakistani flair they add different spices that give it a unique and flavorful twist. I had the Impossible chopped cheese, and it was very flavorful. It came with bell peppers, and even though I opted for no onions, the texture was still really good and well put together. On top of that, the staff was very friendly, which made the experience even better. Definitely a cool spin on a NYC classic.

I was visiting from DC and so glad to have stopped by here! The barbacoa Bihari tacos are SO GOOD, a must have. The elotes chaat is also delicious, and I need to somehow recreate it at home. The chapli kebab chopped cheese also lived up to its hype! A surprise hit was the Thai chai, which was soo needed in the cold—you could taste both the chai and Thai tea flavors. Highly recommend Nishaan and wish I lived closer, so I could eat here all the time!

The place is clean, smells good. The hostess and the owner are super friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Birria Tacos ,which were exceptional and my favorite of all the food. We also got their signature chopped cheese and the chicken sandwich. Their elotes loaded fries was a pleasant surprise. All the food was well cooked, well flavored and tasted fresh. The roohafza refresher was kids favorite. Highly recommend, would definitely come again.

We drove down from Boston to experience the #halal restaurants of NYC and our first stop was the highly rated Nishaan. It did not disappoint. We got there right at lunchtime and were able to grab a few tables although space is limited. Our food was prepared quickly but was incredibly fresh! Elotes chaat was an excellent appetizer. The chapli kabab chopped cheese was to die for and the birria tacos were absolutely sumptuous. Please open a location in Boston!

My boyfriend and I watched The Food Challenge and cheered the whole time for Nishaan and team. When we were planning our annual trip to NYC from Chicago we were so excited to see the restaurant and planned a visit. It tasted just like it looked on the show. The spices, flavor, and overall taste were all we imagined. We both don't eat red meat so we got the impossible and it was delicious. I love they have this option! The restaurant is quite small and not much abiance but the girl at the front was absolutely wonderful and made the experience that much better. She was so genuinely excited that we traveled to come to the restaurant and try it and even asked for feedback. Everyone working there was very welcoming and polite. A wonderful overall experience.
