Nik's Pizza & Restaurant

I haven't eaten at Nik's in over 30 years, but I will say the food is as good or better than it was then. The small salad bar with a really tasty spaghetti, lasagna, and Italian bread definitely hit the spot. The food was great, the service was good, and it is a clean place. The interior isn't contemporary and hasn't changed in years, but that gives this 30 plus year old pizza joint its quaintness.

The pizza there was a all meat md. It was okay, but not great. It was kind of dry where the toppings were but crunchy crust. And the ham looked like sandwich meat ham. Didn't try the buffet. The cashier was friendly though.

Pros: Great baked spaghetti. Price reasonable. Good service. Accommodating staff. Warm seating area on a cold day. :-) Cons: says they serve beer, but had absolutely no beer. How does that happen? Some pasta comes with a salad, some do not. Kinda confusing. Spaghetti does not, fettuccine does? But the food tastes great. At least what we had.

Well I will say if you want an adult beverage don't go here. Their menu shows tons of types but they do not service. Also sitting across from us was a couple with their grandchild that wanted milk. Don't ask for that either. The food was okay. But nothing to write home about. I think they need to recap the menu so it shows what they really have. I was not impressed. Also they only say people on one side of the restaurant , and lighting was an issue.

I had the senior buffet this time. The salad bar is awesome. I feel they should take pizza requests though as both times I had buffet there was never a vegetable pizza which I love. Also there are never many pizzas on the buffet and they sit and get dried out. The cinnamon pizza sat so long it became chewy and not very good. They used to have 2 different kinds of cookies that my crowd enjoyed. I also have enjoyed their baked spaghetti,club sandwich,Ribeye sandwhich,omelets,baklava and cheesecake. I live in Kenly and it's convenient but I think I'll drive to Smithfield next time I want a pizza/salad buffet and go to Pizza Inn. BUT aside with my problems with the Pizza buffet, I have enjoyed many meals there.Their stuffed peppers and soup are great. I think they should put the stuffed pepper
