Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries is a great spot when you’re craving classic diner food with a Carolina twist. I ordered the Carolina Classic, and it absolutely delivered — topped with mustard, minus onions, chili, slaw, and American cheese, it was packed with flavor and cooked just right on a soft, toasted bun. The fries were hot and crispy, perfect with ketchup, and the sweet tea hit the spot. The old-school diner atmosphere really adds to the experience, with retro booths and a relaxed, nostalgic vibe that makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal. The food was tasty and decently priced. I got the chopped steak platter and my husband got the fried shrimp platter. The vibe was cute but it was a little run down. The service was quick and thorough. If I'm back in the area, I will likely return for a meal.

New staff is terrible, you walk in and no one says hello. You sit at a table and every table is still dirty from the last customer. Waiters are rude and dismissive. I got a cheesesteak with extra cheese and didnt have enough toppings to fill the bun. Since its been under new management this place has flopped multiple times, i wish i could say its a hit or miss but ever since Jeff left it has been a continuous miss. Also had a waiter beg us for money for a concert. Theres also constant fighting amongst the staff

This place has gotten so sorry! I don’t understand their way of thinking honestly! I ordered the shrimp with extra shrimp! Thank god I ordered extra cuz idk how much would have actually come! Just enough to tease maybe! Ordered chili cheese tots and I got plenty of cheese but the chili looks like they just tried to cover the bottom of the cup! And there’s hardly many toys there! Not to mention they forgot my sauces! Won’t be coming back here that’s for sure!

I stopped in with a friend and he ordered a large cheese steak sandwich. It had the same portion as my small did. I ask for extra cheese and no onions and peppers. There was no cheese on it when I got it and also had onions on it Very disappointed
