So delicious and fresh! This is my second time here, about a year apart. My favorites were the East Cape, Island Creek, and the House Long Bay — all had a mild brine and super fresh taste. I also really enjoyed the Provençal Butter Roasted Oysters; they complement the oysters perfectly. If you want oysters but prefer to mask the oyster flavor a bit, get the Napolean Roasted Oysters — they’re delicious, especially on the bread they come with (we ordered both). The Flounder Meunière is amazing. I’m visiting again next year.
Nico is one of my favorite restaurants in the Charleston area. We live close by and love to stop in for a shrimp & scallop roll (with frites) or lobster roll! The oysters are divine and there’s something on the menu for everyone. My son loves their burger and French onion soup and I love all their seafood offerings!
Delicious food, excellent service and a nice selection of wine by the glass. I really enjoyed the grilled oysters for an appetizer and the lobster roll for an entree, especially the perfect fries with Gruyere dipping sauce. But the piece de resistance is the creme brulee, bruleed table side, and served with a few chocolate cookies. It's not only deliciously decadent and rich, but a large portion that could easily be shared by more than two people. Sitting at the outside bar was pleasant and service was attentive and friendly.
Worth every penny. I started with the Charred Octopus which amazing, then a half dozen of my customized order of oysters, they were great and tasted fresh. Then I had a cup of French onion soup it needs a pinch more of salt but it was good. For my main course I had the Duck Confit and a Old Fashion they were both spot on! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, I literally tasted the value in my meal, the food was art and I loved it! This place is better than 95% of other places in a 12 mile radius.
We pulled in fresh off the road, and though it was rainy outside this spot turned the whole mood around. Steven was amazing, and I very much appreciate him answering my many many questions. Happy Hour Oysters, followed by the Octobus, (which I would 100% drive back from FL just for that), then the Flounder. You can not leave without trying the gin martini with the chai... Felt welcome from start to finish, thank you Nico for having us as guests! Can't wait to come back!
