Wando Mount Pleasant Library

As a local Mount Pleasant realtor, I’m always paying attention to the places that truly make a community special—and the Mount Pleasant Library at Carolina Park, next to Wando High School, is one of those gems. This library is beautifully designed, incredibly clean, and thoughtfully organized. From the moment you walk in, it feels welcoming, calm, and well cared for. The staff and volunteers are consistently kind, helpful, and approachable, which makes every visit a pleasure. My kids absolutely love it—whether it’s picking out new books, participating in activities, or simply enjoying a quiet, inviting space. It’s a fantastic place to check out books, spend quality time, and unplug for a bit. Amenities like this are a big reason why Carolina Park and the surrounding area are such wonder

Super fire place- I had a lot of fun w/ my friend. The employees didn’t kick us out of the kids section and this one lady was super nice to us when we found books(yes in the kids section) that interested us(the art style is peak). It was really nice. I love the window seat, surprisingly comfortable.

You can spend hours in this place learning, creating, discovering, thinking, and doing. It's all up to you.

Massive, modern and pretty darned awesome. The library has some of the most advanced check out and return devices I've seen. Like a self-checkout at the supermarket, it's great for the introverts that don't want to have a conversation. One of the "study" rooms was open this afternoon and I was able to spend some time with laptops set up and be on a few Zoom calls before the end of my workday. A terrific space and very productive.

An updated, modern library with a huge, beautiful children's section. There are study rooms, digital media rooms, crafting rooms, community meeting rooms, a storytime room, outdoor space, and digital check in and returns. There is even a 24 hour book return. The people who designed this library really thought through so many helpful details. What a joy for a family to have nearby!
