New Way Lunch

Fast pleasant service. Solid hotdog joint, unfortunately Skinless dogs, proper meat sauce, excellent earthy & beefy flavor. Cart style smear of mustard. And raw unions under the sauce so they’re not falling all over the place. Could be amazing with natural casing dogs. $9 lunch, in and out…

These outstanding little creations (the hot dogs of course!) have been a best part of the local food scene for me for over 50 yrs! IF you haven't had a hot dog from New Way...well, then you simply haven't ever properly experienced food in Glens Falls! For all those of you who are traveling South to Saratoga or North to Lake George...take the 10 extra minutes and stop by!

I had been craving hot dogs for weeks, so I decided to stop by New Way Lunch on Saturday evening to grab a few for my family. When I arrived around 5:40 PM, the door was locked. The posted sign says Saturdays are open until 10 PM, and the outside sign was still lit and said “Open,” but the lights inside were dim and no one was there. I understand that there’s bad weather expected tomorrow, but there was no sign on the door, no notice on Facebook, and no indication anywhere that they had closed early or for an emergency. That was really disappointing, especially for customers who travel out of their way after hearing how good the hot dogs and fries are. A simple sign or social media update would have made a big difference. Because of the lack of communication, I’m leaving this review out

Got a sirloin burger. Was extremely dry and actually tasted like a Bubba burger. Asked for well done and it was really overcooked and the roll really dry. The hot dogs looked appetizing, perhaps made the wrong choice. Seems like a place popular with the locals and regular customers. The hostess was very friendly. The menu is very limited. Thought they would have a turkey club available but didn't see any on the menu.
