First time here. I don’t know what authentic Anhui food is, but the food we ordered is like authentic Hunan food. We ordered Farmer’s rice crust, sour cabbage fish fillets, stir-fried braised beef with chili peppers, they are all very tasty. The fish fillets are very tender, its soup is fresh and not oily.

This place is a keeper! New Huiji (Xia Fan Cai in Mandarin--loosely translated as tasty food for rice) features cuisine from Anhui Provence in China, and according to a friend who hails from Anhui, many of the dishes are very authentic (the rest we enjoyed were a fusion of Chinese localities). There were 8 of us for dinner, so there was a wait for them to set up a couple of tables. The dishes that appeared included vegetarian dishes and soup, pig knuckles (this is a dish with peanuts), lamb with onions, beef with shisedo peppers (🌶), lamb with onions, "stinky" fish, and more. All of this was very tasty! You will not find beef with broccoli or general's chicken here--only authentic Chinese foods. This is attested to because for the almost 3 hours we were there, I was the only round-eye in

Good taste and great value. But these two dishes do not look like the photos on menu or owner uploads. Please use more representative photos or improve your dish presentation.

A new restaurant in a busy shopping plaza in Newark, featuring food from Anhui and nearby provinces. The Anhui dishes are very good: duck and cabbage stew, braided pork. Spicy wonton was fine but not as good as in other places. The setup is nice and cute, they served the dishes in nice bowls, and the rice came in a rice cooker. Service is excellent. We will be back!

Very authentic Chinese food. The flavors were spot on and reminded me of food back home. You can tell the kitchen really cares about quality and seasoning.
