Customer Reviews
Very nice open feel from high ceilings, used to be a church , but hvac must cost the taxpayers a pretty penny. Workers are very nice and helpful. Online requests for " reserve a title" are hit and miss many times no record received via the portal and other times told item is "unsourceable". Upstairs many of the towners who come in carry on conversations as if their hearing aid batteries are dead. It's not like it used to be.
Linda Fox the Director was incredible. She allowed me to come in early to make copies of a very important letter. She is a phenominal person who has been with the New Fairfield, CT library for over 50 years. Everyone must obtain a library card and use it often! If I could give ten stars, I would... ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have been going here my whole life. Mrs. Fox is just as great as ever. Everyone there is helpful AND IT IS GORGEOUS. There are so many classes and different things you can borrow other than just books! It’s so wonderful you have to go!
If I could give 0 stars I would. I’m having a visit with my daughter who just turned 3 and were in the children section downstairs, I brought out some crackers and pretzels for her to eat because we’re going to be here for 2 hours, a librarian that I personally have never seen here before told me my child could not have snacks here when we’ve been here a few times in the past for our Tuesday visits when the weather is not suitable for being at the park. So I had to bring my poor baby outside in 92 degree weather, the weather we came here to escape, just so she could eat a few crackers and a few pretzels. Never in my entire life have I been told a child could not have a snack in the childrens section of the library. Especially when it’s not something messy, we had napkins and I always make
The people upstairs are very nice. Love them! The lady in the kids section, where you sign in, downstairs , seems absolutely miserable. And I don’t know why, but every time we go there with my 8 year old, she seems mad we are coming in to get books. I know you need to sign people in due to covid, I work at a bank and sign people in all day; but you can be warm and welcoming to my child about it, without being like ,”AND YOU ARRRREEEEEEEEEEE...WELLLLLLLLLLL?!?!” All angry, after saying we need to sign in. I mean, she’s a little kid for Pete’s sake. It’s not easier for her to deal with a pandemic either.
