We hired Chris to help us more our sailboat from Gloucester to Kittery as new boat owners with limited experience. We accompanied Chris for the voyage and he was phenomenal. Chris took the time to teach us about our boat in addition to giving us real training on operating, mooring, docking and handling rough water conditions in addition to anchoring, radio communication, etc. He is also LGBTQ+ friendly. We highly recommend him.

I purchased a 1987 Sabre 32 in April of this year. I hadn’t had an opportunity to drive it more than a few miles down the Piscataqua so Chris delivered my boat from Portsmouth, NH to Harpswell, ME with myself and one other as crew. He was professional and attentive to his Captain’s duties at every point in the journey. Early in the trip the engine stopped pumping water and he quickly raised the sails while the issue was diagnosed. After determining the pump couldn’t be repaired without parts he judged the wind was favorable and decided to continue under sail. He eased any anxiety about not having an engine and made the sail north enjoyable as it was “a beautiful day to sail”. We reached our destination with light to spare.

Chris expertly helped us deliver our Sabre 402 from Rockland Maine to Salem Mass during a weekend of rough seas and weather. He helped us troubleshoot a leak near the engine and learn about the systems on the “new to us” sailboat. Chris was experienced in all aspects of the delivery from sailing, motoring, and anchoring in all conditions and smoothly navigated the Annisquam Canal at low tide. Plus, he is a super awesome guy. I recommend Chris for any delivery or as a captain.

Captain Chris gives an extraordinary sailing experience! I had the pleasure of bringing my sister on her first sailing trip after the loss of our father. Although, the circumstances were sad, Chris was very pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable. He made our day on the water extremely comfortable. We will certainly recommend our friends!!
