New Deal Fish Market

Wonderful and lovely fish market. People are super friendly and willing to explain the differences. I got the king salmon and swordfish. Super fresh and delicious when I cooked! Prices are slightly higher than other fish markets (seafood prices are high in general). Parking can be tricky. Street parking so you may or may not need to walk a bit. The store is local favorite and it was crowded when I went. So expect to wait a few minutes to order. Great fish market overall.

They have amazingly fresh seafoods! I got mussels from them last week, and I appreciate how the staff made sure that all the mussels were alive when being sold. The mussels from New Deal are also way fresher than those you’d get at Whole Foods. I made white wine garlic mussels dishes twice in a week and the quality of mussels from New Deal is distinctly better. I will never buy mussels at Whole Foods again (half of the bag I bought were dead mussels, and they did not taste fresh at all). I’ve also been buying sashimi-grade fish from them for 2 years now :) really fresh salmon, tuna, and scallops!!

Amazingly fresh!! I have visited New Deal Fish Market for more than 15 years for their sushi grade salmon, tuna and hamachi. The fish were as fresh as they could be EVERY single time. We raved about them every time at dinner table. Staffs behind the counter are friendly and love to give suggestion how to prepare certain seafood when asked ! They took care of cutting the fish, clean and skin. Recommend this shop any chance I could to my friends 😁

I’ve been a long time customer of New Deal, but sadly the service has really gone downhill. On my most recent visit, even after leaving a tip, the staff showed attitude instead of appreciation. It’s disappointing, because I always try to support local businesses, but experiences like this make it very hard to continue. I truly hope they can turn things around, because the community wants to support them,but respect and good service have to be part of the experience.

Great place with a great staff. They didn't have what I came in looking for, but they went out of their way to get it for me the next day. Quality was phenomenal.
