Wilkes Library is SO much more than just books! Seriously, these librarians are amazing. They're all about helping people learn new things and connect with each other. It's not just about borrowing books (although you can totally do that!). They've also got movies, games, medical equipment, and even bakery items you can check out! And get this – you can fill an entire grocery bag with books for just ONE DOLLAR at their book sales! How cool is that? They also host these super fun Novel Tea groups where you can chat about books over tea and treats with other book lovers. Plus, there are craft groups and bingo! It's like a community center and library all rolled into one awesome place. You should totally check it out!
They had whole bunch of books,3 free monitors you can use if you have the library card, and even 2 bathrooms that you need the key for at the front desk. They also have a rule that if you want to print sonthing black and white it is 25 cents but if you want it colorful it would be 50 cents and the last thing is that they have 2 doors on the way in, one facing the parking and the other facing achusenut ave 😉
I love their donation book section! Fill up a big bag of books for a dollar! Can't beat that and there is amazing choices on that little shelf of theirs!
Very good! I was helped by Diligent Daniel and The Beneficent Brenna. And found some gems of DVDs and books located in the spacious lobby so take a little time to dig them out. James Nelson
I would have to give the public library a three stars because they don't let people plug in their cell phone no more the charge is so far the New Bedford public library downtown New Bedford
