G’s Kitchen

Gs Kitchen provides a well-maintained dining environment complemented by quality food. The restaurant was neat and had a calm atmosphere. The food was tasty and served on time. The staff were friendly and respectful, which made the visit enjoyable. Overall, I had a good experience at Gs Kitchen and would recommend it to others.

I have not had one thing that I disliked here yet! The food is incredible. You have to get the mango smoothie. It is amazing the soursop and the papaya also really really good. My favorite thing right now is the seafood Alfredo, the rice and beans, the Haitian spaghetti and the griot

EDIT: I've gone back probably 5 times for the seafood boile since my original post. I have had to wait a couple of times, so just keep that in mind and factor in maybe an extra 15-20 min on the time they quote, but the food is always amazing. The owners are wonderful, fun, outgoing people and they definitely make you feel welcome every time you stop by. Today was my first time going for the seafood boil, and I gotta say, the customer service was amazing. Everyone was so nice, friendly, and welcoming. Then, I got to try the seafood boil, and it was absolutely incredible, one of the best I've ever tried. Everything was perfectly cooked and well-sessoned with just the right level of kick (I ordered mild Cajun). I'll definitely be a returning customer.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I’m originally from The Bahamas, a country with a large population of Haitian immigrants, so it is through that lens that I am reviewing G’s Kitchen. My favorite Haitian meal is pork griot with piklez. If you’re familiar with Latin fried pork (puerco frito), then you’ll recognize the Haitian iteration as exactly the same, and piklez is basically coleslaw minus the mayonnaise, but with vinegar and scotch bonnet pepper. I found G’s pork griot to be perfectly fried to a crisp on the outside, and moist and tender on the inside, however, I was a little disappointed at the portion size. Compared to what you’d receive in The Bahamas, it was on the small side. I’m used to three times the portion size. Their piklez, while tasty, lacked the requisite spicy kick fr
