Nettles Farm is not posh and not luxurious but it is truly the most authentic vacation you will ever have. Peaceful and private. Riley works hard for guests who are willing to participate. If you have ever wanted to try to eat your weight in crab Riley will make it happen. When he makes a suggestion follow through. I regret not making time for the seaweed baths and forest sauna. The beds are comfortable, the coffee is excellent and the floors warm your feet in the cool mornings. We love to cook and ate in every night we could. The kitchen is truly the best. I don't know if I will ever make it this far west for a vacation again, but I will dream about it.

I booked two nights at Nettles Farm with my two boys to get them away from the city. This was the best experience we've ever had hands down. From the time the island shuttle dropped us to the time we were dropped at the ferry, our host, Mr. Riley was the best we could ever ask for. Such a gracious gentleman that takes hospitality at heart. The farm house was spotless and welcoming. Fresh plants everywhere, and great sense of attention to details. The Moroccan Steam Sauna was my favorite surprise, and boy I used it a lot.||This farm is the best you can ever experience if you are looking for a step back in time, with island mood and great host. I recommend this experience to anyone who seek awesome family time in an island that brings you back to the safety of the old good times.||Richard.P

We were very excited for our stay at Nettles farm based on the previous reviews and the website; however, our stay unfortunately fell short of those expectations. We were expecting to spend a lot of time outside at the property, but it was neglected and overgrown (not matching the pictures online). There were no vegetables, the chickens were never let out of the coop, and the outdoor kitchen was in an uninviting state. The house itself is nice and the kitchen is well stocked. We had to request a fan and many of the windows did not have screens, which made the house a bit hot during the day. The host, Riley, is very nice, but he forgot we were checking in that day and that we had previously requested pizza kits for both nights of our stay. He put together a pizza kit for the second night

The extras Riley offered were unique, they made a great experience even better!! Fun times creating pizzas, amazing kitchen!! Fresh coho and learning how to pin bone the salmon, were special to us! And delicious! Secluded, yet accessible to beaches, views were amazing!! Sublime sunsets! Riley was a gracious host who afforded us privacy, but was readily available. You gotta meet Stella, the cherry on top!

We just spent three nights at Nettles Farm (4 adults and one 3 year old) our host Riley is a super nice friendly guy. Unfortunately the property appeared to be neglected for some time, the farm had no vegetables or herbs and everything was very overgrown (nothing close to the images on the web site)The house was pretty well stocked with necessities, many of the window screens were missing so opening up the house without flys and bugs was impossible. The pizza oven and pizza kit that Riley provided was wonderful and so much fun for the adults and kids. At just over $1800 ($600 a night) we felt our $ could have been spent better elsewhere.
