Negril - Laurel

While I was in the Laurel area temporarily, I stopped by here a couple of times for lunch. I really enjoyed the chicken curry which was full of flavor, came in a generous portion, and was reasonably priced. The side vegetables were also quite good.

Great location. First time there and we was thinking Caribbean for lunch, not only was their location not far from us their reviews and menu look good (pics). I am a person that do go off of reviews and pictures of actual served food not “props”. Let’s just say from walking into Negril’s to home eating I was satisfied with everything, my gf was a little disappointed however she likes her curry just a little more smothered other than everything else was really amazing that’s the only reason am giving 4 stars, I also had order jerk chicken meal for my daughter which she said was delicious and just Jerky(sorry not shown). Negril Jamaican Eatery really surprised me! I ordered oxtails with white rice, cabbage, and one beef patty… but after one bite I ran back and got two more because it was THAT good. The oxtails were so soft they were practically sliding off the bone on their own. I don’t even like lima beans, but somehow they made them taste amazing. And the dumplings? A rare blessing most Jamaican spots don’t bother with. Everything was hitting… honestly, the whole meal had me ready to come back the next day.

Great seasonings and portion size. I would definitely order from here again. NOTE: My picture shows AFTER I hate half my rice and cabbage.

From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was back home. The vibes were high, the music was nice, and the food? Top notch! The jerk pork was the best I’ve had since leaving Jamaica…perfectly seasoned, tender and full of flavor. Everything tasted authentic like how it is supposed to. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was quick. Big respect to the chef - I’ll definitely be back.
