Natraj Indian Cuisine

TL;DR: Good tasting food, great location, liked the decor of the restaurant. Nepalese woman serving us was very kind. Wasn't authentic Indian food but still was good in its own right. Specific Foods: Chicken madras: 7.5/10 Garlic Naan: 9/10 Special Attention: General Wait Time for 1/2 dishes: 20-30 min Room For Improvement: 1. curry was a little too watery for my taste. more onions would have been better

This place is not talked about enough and I feel the reason may be for most, is they feel intimidated by the menu and not knowing what to expect. The people here are always happy to help. The photo attached is of the Chicken Momo with Medium spice level. I wish I took a photo before we demolished it but it goes to show just how good it was! The second photo is the mango chicken and the other is the Butter chicken.

I don't know if this place can be advertised as an Indian restaurant. If you know what authentic Indian food tastes like, this is definitely not it. We were passing in the area and wanted something filling and thought to try this place. The chicken Vindaloo was like a watery tomato broth. I have had Vindaloo so many times and it has never tasted like this. The lamb dish was all right. Butter chicken was better than the rest of the curries we ordered . The Thali had dhal curry which was dhal in water basically. The only good item we tried from the menu was the Chai tea. Maybe the menu items are a hit and miss, but the items we tried were not satisfying. I had the opportunity to enjoy the delicious food at Natraj Indian Cuisine in Culpeper. The savory dishes I ordered were cooked to perfection 👌 along with the garlic naan, homemade samosas and mango lasse. Seriously, every single bite was extremely tasty! Thank you again for the kind hospitality. 🌿

We had a great first visit! We came for their Sunday buffet and service was very friendly, run by a husband and wife duo. They were on top of everything, keeping our drinks full and things in the buffet topped off. The food was delicious, I wish I could have eaten more! We will be back whenever we’re in the area.
