Napa Farmhouse Inn

Very charming Inn to stay and relax. Ed and Mimi were great hosts. We were welcomed with freshly baked heart shaped scones that were so delicious and prepared using organic ingredients and healthy substitutes. This place is quiet, nestled in beautiful nature, away from busy Napa downtown, next to famous wineries, and well-maintained. Well-stocked kitchen with coffee, tea, fruit, etc. Mimi is an amazing baker, cook, and gardener and puts time and effort to prepare healthy foods. Best part of the stay - the beautiful organic veggie and fruit garden and Mimi handpicking fresh veggies for us in a basket, including turnips, chard, sugar snap peas, lettuce, cabbage, and citrus, that one can take at a small price. We wish we were writing a glowing review of this inn but unfortunately our experience was less than anticipated. Based on the what we saw on Trip Advisor and on the inn’s Instagram page, we anticipated a stay in a lovely B&B in the Napa Valley with enticing gardens and relaxing spaces with beauty all around. We arrived to find a basically charming house but on entry to the property, there was a dirty minivan with flat tires and a barrier fence in the parking area in disrepair. The country farm house was charming but in need of spring cleaning to remove the vestiges of winter weather and cobwebs. The interior French country decor was lovely but in the kitchen and eating areas there was a greasy, sticky film over several of the decorative glass items, the adorable white teapots on the man

The Napa Farmhouse Inn is an absolute 5-star stay!!!! The owners, Ed and Mimi, are incredibly welcoming and also respect the privacy of their guests. The grounds are so very beautiful and well-kept! As guests, you can stroll through their gardens and see all of the beautiful produce that you may enjoy during your stay! Mimi is an absolutely fabulous chef!! Typically, my husband and I like to try different B&Bs during our visits to Napa. However, this is the best we have found, so we will be going back…likely multiple times! Thank you, Ed and Mimi! I highly recommend this stay!!!

My arrival was tainted a little by the fact that the self-imposed - and long forgotten - daily charge limit on my bank card prevented Ed from running it to pay for my nascent stay; which did not, however, in any way, cool Ed’s warm welcome and introduction to the Inn, my room, the grounds, and the Valley in general. A brief call to the bank cleared the mystery and the card, and I was on my way to having just a lovely visit and several happy, serene days of sunshine, of California quail walking in their neat lines through the gardens, of foggy, rosemary-perfumed mornings, of mockingbirds mocking as the sun set, of vibrant, delicious breakfasts crafted by Mimi, and of the incomparable mulberries crafted by the Inn’s mulberry tree. An oasis of calm, surrounded by fragrant roses, citrus, and so many colors of green. The NapaFarmhouse is welcoming and generous in its amenities. The beds are super cozy with soft linens and a bounty of pillows. The house is beautifully appointed with big sofas, lots of nooks and seating areas, with a large porch to enjoy the views and Napa weather. Breakfast was amazing! Mimi Brown made skillet omelettes with veggies and chicken sausage that were delicious….not to mention the homemade bread and jam alongside fresh picked fruits from the garden. I thought mulberries were only in a song!
