I went to Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings on Lunar New Year and honestly I didn’t expect to even get a table without a reservation because it was sooo busy. But they still managed to fit me in, which I really appreciated. They sat me downstairs (I didn’t even know they had space there), but actually it turned out to be kinda nice and quieter, so I didn’t mind at all. The waiter was super nice, I really wish I asked his name. Very polite, calm, not irritated at all even with so many people. You can tell he knows how to handle stress, which is not easy on a day like that. Food came pretty fast too, maybe like 10–15 minutes, which surprised me. I ordered the soup dumplings and something sweet, and everything was really good. The dumplings were juicy, full of flavor, and didn’t feel rushed or low

We went in the winter and the inside was pretty cold. We ordered the noodles and bean puff to come out first, then the kaofu and dumplings to come last. Instead everything just came as soon as it was made. But they forgot to send us our kaofu until we asked. Unfortunately the noodles were very salty. However the bean puffs were nice, flaky and warm. The dumplings were very okay, but the kaofu was served cold which took us by surprise. Wasn’t a fan.

My first time going to Nan Xiang near St. Marks street and the atmosphere here is pretty chill. They were open pretty late on a weekday night which was perfect. We were a group of three and I ordered the vegetable soup which came with woodear mushrooms and another type of mushroom, and lots of other vegetables. It was a big portion so if you’re a soup fan you would love this. It wasn’t spicy enough for me but it had good flavor. Me and my friend enjoyed this. We also ordered the sweet and sour fried flounder and it came out hot, perfect crisp and very tasty. We ordered also the broccoli with garlic sauce. Which came with broccoli and what looked like just garlic on top not your typical brown garlic sauce. But it did have some type of garlicky sauce on top. Very flavorful even though it was

Absolutely. Incredible. Period. We ordered Pork Soup Dumplings, Pan Fried Pork Buns, and Pork Vegetable and Shrimp Wontons in Spicy Peanut Sauce. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The service was great, our cups always had water in them, which was nice considering how busy they were when we got there. All three dishes were different in their own way but so so good. We left and immediately planned our next visit.

The service was fast and attentive. Our server was Kristy and she was very prompt in clearing any finished or unused dishes and providing refills. The food was delicious. We order shang-hai stir fried udon and signature soup dumplings. Despite not liking bok choi we ate all the entire dish and the soup dumplings were great. The portions were good and pretty reasonable for the price. The dining area had a nice aesthetic and was very spacious.
