Namaste Jalsaa, Restaurant & Bar

Had a wonderful Valentine’s Day lunch at Jalsa on King Street! The place was completely packed, which is always a great sign — and the food definitely lived up to it. We started with mango lassi and sweet lassi. There was a small mix-up where I was served buttermilk instead of sweet lassi, but it was quickly addressed and not a big deal at all. For food, we tried the paneer tikka, Gobi Manchurian, and paneer lababdar with coconut cherry naan. Everything was delicious. The paneer tikka was perfectly cooked and flavorful, the Gobi Manchurian had great texture and taste, and the paneer lababdar was rich and satisfying. I'm thrilled to have discovered Namaste Jalsa, a hidden gem serving Indian and Nepalese cuisine, with an incredible buffet that's a treat for the eyes! The spread included mouth-watering dishes. What truly impressed me was the variety of options, including a vegetarian salad and an assortment of fresh fruits - a rare find in most Indian buffets! They're also famous for their delicious momos/dumplings. If you're ever in the area, be sure to check them out - they're conveniently located near the popular tourist spot on King Street in Alexandria. My server Linda was very attentive, as were the others.

Namaste Jalsa is a good spot for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Indian and Nepali cuisine. The food is delicious, with rich spices, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. The staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the service feels genuinely caring rather than rushed. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a great place for family dinners, gatherings with friends, or a relaxed evening out.

What a great experience me and my wife had at this restaurant. First let me talk about the date booths they have. We were tucked away in our own oasis. Very creative when it comes to decor. The food was amazing, we had chicken 65 and samosa to start and it was fabulous. I got chicken tandoori for my entree and it did not disappoint. My wife had paneer butter masala and it was so rich and creamy. For sure we will be back. And I forgot our server name but he was amazing. Thanks for everything.

The buffet was such a great value. Delicious warm perfectly spiced wide variety includes chai tea and the gulab jamón (dessert: donuts in syrup were so good, I did not want the experience to end. Lovely family run business.
