Myung Dong Noodle House

Stick to the noodles, ordered the galbi jjim and it was all bones… it felt like it was left overs given to us. How can you charge $40 for bones. it wasn’t even cooked well. Meat was tough … did not fall off bone. Maybe bc I ordered it to go they thought they could get away with? Pic shows the ones we did not touch. I wish I took from start bc they were all like that.

Healthy, tasty, and clean. It’s a well known restaurant in Korea. Quality ingredients used for all the food and generous portion. The flavors were amazing, elevating classic Korean dishes.

We live close by and have wanted to try it since they opened. The food was very tasty and well prepared. The staff was attentive and very nice. I would like to go back and try some more dishes.

For those who are wondering: No, this is not an extension of Myeongdong Gyoza, from Myeongdong, Korea. And yes, this also means that Myeongdong's unlimited noodle service does not apply here at this location... However! The Myungdong Noodle House answered the K-Town's need for the famous kalguksoo from Myeongdong, and I gotta say, it was a pleasant surprise. The original kalguksoo has its own distinct flavor, a little less greasy than what you may have tasted in Korea. I immediately knew I'd have a craving for this here, in NYC. The steamed mandoo too, had me reminiscing about the time in Korea. It was replicated delightfully. I want to say the service here was excellent, hence being happy to leave a tip that was as much as the food I ordered. I wanted to leave 4.5 stars because the grilled pork they gave me was a bit dry but, in all honesty everything else tasted excellent. Would be happy to come back.
