Ms. Lisa's New Orleans Cuisine

This was my first time trying cat fish, personally cat fish is not for me. It did not taste bad that type of fish is just not for me. The greens were amazing, the spaghetti mac n cheese was amazing. And lets not forget the corn muffin that was warm and moist, tasting like it was made to order. Mind you this was a doordash order and everything tasted fresh as can be.! I highly recommend Ms Lisa’s. Two a thumbs up. PS im excited to try the Oxtail next.!

Okay… let’s just say the ride home was quiet because we were too busy eating 😄 We ordered from Ms. Lisa's Soul Food and wow. I had the fish and shrimp plate with dirty rice and collard greens, and it was everything I hoped it would be. The fish and shrimp were seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. The dirty rice had so much flavor, and the collard greens were tender and on point. And don’t even get me started on the cornbread — so good. My son got the fried chicken plate with double spaghetti and mac and cheese, and he didn’t leave a crumb. The chicken was crispy and juicy, and that mac and cheese was rich and creamy. Idk where all these other people are going but this spot is right behind brennens smoke shop on mainstreet. The food was awesome, it was my first time trying catfish and it won't be the last from there. Their seafood gumbo was so good it had a little bit of everything and I was surprised to see half a crab in there too! This place is wicked good check them out its affordable and staffed by very nice people. Shout out to the cook who hooked me up with the catfish because they only had smaller fillets left!

Great food and everything we had was delicious! We had the BBQ ribs with dirty rice. The ribs were awesome and so was the rice. We had fried catfish which was very flavorful and perfectly cooked. We also tried the gumbo which was absolutely amazing. The oxtails were fantastically delicious. We had all kinds of sides including French fries, onion rings, green beans, greens and potato salad. Everything was perfectly seasoned. There is a little spice but it’s not overwhelming and it melds very well. They did have this special cornbread that was very good and done pralines. The pralines were great. The chef was very friendly and his team were very helpful and one of them even offered to help me out to my car.
