Mr. Weenie

Absolutely love Mr. Weenie. Have awesome memories of coming there for root beer as well as other things. Went this past week while I was in Peru visting my mom's grave in Logansport. I remember my aunt and mom going here a lot when I was growing up in the 70s. Love that this place is still here. Have a tenderloin sandwich in fond memory of my mom because that was here favorite. Hadn't had one since visiting Peru when my mom passed in '20. Hope it's still there next time I come up.

When I moved to Peru over 10 yrs ago my son, daughter and myself would always laugh and yell "It's Mr Weenie Time!!!" every time we drove past 😂. Cute little drive in and you can eat in your vehicle or at the picnic tables. The prices are really reasonable and the food is really tasty. The coney dogs , coleslaw, Wrigley dogs, shrimp baskets, and tenderloins just to name a few are really good. The service is always good and fast. I've bought Mr Weenie t-shirts for funny Christmas gifts in the past and everyone always has a good laugh.

This place is incredible. Extensive menu. The Chicago Dog is legit. The cheese bites were a home run. Fries were solid. Coleslaw was perfect. The service was awesome. Love that a place like this exists!

Mr. Weenie is a Peru icon.The food is consistently awesome . I love the tenderloin basket it is always fresh and the fries are hot . I like to put some of the cole slaw on my sandwich .It's a little messy but ,Oh so good ! My husband loves the Mr. Burger it is just like the old fashion hamburgers .The coke is perfect everytime also .We love this place .

Fast, friendly service with ample parking. While prices are very good the trade off is portion size. Ordered Spanish cheese dogs, fries, onion rings and small drink. Hotdogs are a bit small. Spanish sauce was ok and cheese sauce is not spicy. A few dogs had very little sauce. Onion rings come 4 per order and fries are crinkle cut. Both were a tad small. Drink was really a kid size. If you're craving dogs this place is an OK trade off between price and quality/quantity.
